Triangular frame chair

laminated steel pipes and massive wood seat

A thin, triangulated metal frame forms the structure of this chair. Two solid oak panels rest lightly on top, appearing to float in place.
The wood is cradled as if inside a delicate metal cocoon. We loved the contrast between the structure’s perceived fragility and the warm, substantial character of the wood.
The chair emerged from a series of experiments with triangulated forms, which later inspired other interior design pieces with a subtle industrial feel.
